U4gm Diablo 4 Forgotten Ruins Dungeon Location and Gameplay Tips
If you are tracking down the Forgotten Ruins in Diablo 4, you are in for a solid run, especially if you are swinging a Barbarian build. This place is tucked away in the Dry Steppes, so you will be heading into some dusty territory. The dungeon’s reward is worth the trip, trust me. It is one of those spots you clear once and feel like you have ticked off a big box on your build list. Oh, and if you are still stocking up on gear, you might want to check out Diablo 4 Items before you head out.
To get there, ride over to the Dindai Flats. It is northeast of the Ruins of Qara-Yisu Stronghold, so if you have already unlocked that waypoint you are laughing – it is barely a minute’s ride on horseback. Keep your eyes open for the dungeon icon on the map; once you are in the area, you will spot it without much effort. No tricky paths or hidden entrances here, just straight to the door.
Inside, the Forgotten Ruins is broken into two main objectives. First up, you will be in the Desecrated Burial Ground. The task is simple – wipe out every enemy in sight. Sounds easy, but the place has little side rooms and corners where mobs like to hide. I have seen people run around for ages looking for one last skeleton tucked behind a wall. Best way is to pull groups together, drop your AoE, and keep an eye on the minimap for any red blips you missed.
Once that is done, you move into the Hallowed Ossuary. Here you are hunting down three Demonic Corruptions – ugly, fleshy growths that pulse like they are alive. Smash them quick because every hit brings more enemies pouring in. The trick? Ignore most of the adds unless they are really getting in your way. Focus all your damage on the Corruption itself. Once it is gone, the spawns stop cold. If things get hairy, pop a defensive skill and keep swinging until it drops.
Your reward for clearing the place is the Iron Blood Aspect, which goes straight into your Codex of Power. This one is Barbarian-only and gives you damage reduction for each enemy nearby that is bleeding, up to a set limit. If you are running Rend, Flay, or any bleed-heavy setup, it is a beast of a defensive boost. It makes diving into big packs way safer – exactly how Barbarians like to play. So if you are building around bleed, do not skip this dungeon.
