Juventus have announced that defender Leonardo Bonucci has signed a new deal, keeping him at the club until 2020. Bonucci joined the Serie A champions from Bari in 2010and has been a regular starter in Juves backlineever since. Last season, Bonucci played a key role in the side that secured a Scudetto andCoppa Italia double, as Jansen Mayea Jersey well as reaching the final of the UEFA Champions League. At 28 years of age, Bonucci is expected to see out the majority of the remainder of his career at Juve, while also helping to bring through the next generation of players at the club. Its the start of a new era, Bonucci said in a media conference. Im here to offer my years of experience to help those who have joined the club. Juventus have a long-term plan. Were seeing a new generation coming through with quality young players. Weve maintained our strong spine. This is vital for us to build on and go in search of further succe ses. Ive had plenty of great times in these past four years [in which Juve have won the title]. Winning a fifth Scudetto in a row will be tough but weve got the right motivation to tackle this challenge.
